TECHNICAL SALES & TRAINING SPECIALIST

Job Summary :

The Technical Sales & Training Specialist will act as liaison between the company sales team and clients / end users, providing information, service, training, and repairs related to purchased equipment, as well as sales and technical training to end users and resellers.

Supervisory Responsibilities :

  • None.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Acts as liaison to coordinate education, service, and training between the end user of a product and the sales representatives from resellers.
  • Works with end users to promote understanding in, operate, and / or diagnose using the use and operation of equipment, including diagnostic capabilities.
  • Supports sales team with field activities, both with end users and resellers.
  • Answers inquiries and questions from customers (via phone and email) related to ongoing use of products, maintenance requirements, operations, and other related information.
  • Travels to locations to train end users and sales reps on equipment.
  • Coordinates with the Senior Technical Sales & Training Specialist to ensure delivery of current training curriculum and presentations.
  • Coordinates with the Senior Technical Sales & Training Specialist to ensure adequate support of the sales team, clients, end users, and resellers.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    • Required Skills / Abilities :

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong automotive electrical diagnostic skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough understanding of equipment, product, industry, and / or services provided to clients.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as required to prepare reports and logs.
  • Bilingual English-Spanish is preferred.

    • Education and Experience :

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Vocational or Technical training degree or certificate and 3- 5 years. Prior experience in automotive repair field required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
  • Will require frequent travel to both end users and resellers
