This role will be performed onsite in Huntsville, AL.

Summit TRC is seeking a motivated and ambitious Cyber Systems Engineer. The ideal candidate will perform integration tasks like installation, configuration, automation, test, and analysis of a variety of operating systems and other system or network components. If you have a knack for making different software and hardware communicate seamlessly at the low level (including bare metal), please apply.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, install, configure, and test Windows Operating Systems
  • Apply system hardening measures while balancing operational requirements and mission availability
  • Write and implement cyber security policies
  • Integrate and test hardware and software components to improve system compatibility and performance
  • Implement and manage virtualized solutions through tools like VMware or different hypervisors
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues
  • Collaborate with software developers, systems engineers, and cybersecurity engineers to design and integrate seamless solutions from the physical layer to the application layer

Qualifications :

  • Must have a Bachelors Degree in a relevant field
  • Must have 3 years of relevant experience
  • Must be US Citizen possessing a secret clearance
  • Strong proficiency with Windows operating systems and applying STIGs to those systems
  • Strong proficiency with writing and implementing cyber security policies and system hardening
  • Experience working with containerization tools like Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes
  • Experience with virtualization platforms like VMware, vSphere, KVM, Hyper-V, or other hypervisors
  • Experience maintaining other cyber security best practices

    • Nice to Have :

  • MECM or SCCM experience
  • Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) experience
