A problem isn't truly solved until it's solved for all. That's why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines. The Inventory Management team provides the critical function of ensuring the accuracy, control, and strategic optimization of all inventory assets. The team's scope encompasses the entire inventory lifecycle, managing both forward and reverse logistics for a range of materials including finished goods, components, and spare parts. The team is a cross-functional partner involved with systems and programs to enhance visibility and drive process improvements across the supply chain. The team is responsible for the management of inventory health, which includes the strategic disposition of excess and obsolete stock to minimize financial impact. The team's mission is to ensure operational continuity and protect the company's financial health through data-driven inventory control. The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.

    Responsibilities :

  • Develop, own, and execute the global strategy for Excess and Obsolete inventory, including proactive prevention, data-driven disposition channels, and alignment with financial reserve planning.
  • Lead strategic inventory planning programs by developing scalable models and policies to optimize stock levels, improve inventory turns, and mitigate stock-out risks across all product lifecycles.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment between Operations, Finance, and Planning teams to ensure inventory strategy supports overarching business and financial objectives.
  • Establish and govern the global KPI framework for inventory performance, identifying systemic risks and driving strategic optimization programs.
  • Act as the lead business partner for inventory-related systems and programs, defining long-term requirements for global scalability and control.
