About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Quality Assurance and Food Safety to spearhead the strategic development, deployment, and enforcement of quality standards across its manufacturing operations and products. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing quality performance through a range of activities, including tracking, analytics, and process improvements. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all components, raw materials, and finished products meet defined quality standards and regulatory requirements. The VP will also be a champion of continuous improvement initiatives, partnering closely with various internal and external stakeholders to uphold excellence throughout the value chain. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' leadership experience in Quality Management, with a strong background in lean manufacturing and a proven track record in plant transformation and change management. Experience in food manufacturing is essential. The role requires advanced knowledge of Six Sigma quality methodologies, statistical software, and Lean Manufacturing tools. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, presentation, business acumen, and conflict resolution skills, and be adept at operating in a matrix organization. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with a Master's degree preferred, and certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Project Management are highly desirable. The VP will also be responsible for managing departmental budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation, as well as building organizational capability through training in quality systems, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
