Description

Trilliant is seeking a Director of Accounting who will work with operations managers and regional controllers on technical accounting and business requirements; prepare reports for managers, giving actionable information on accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash; create or prepare schedules to support technical accounting entries and month-end close.

Position Responsibilities :

Financial Reporting

  • Coordinate the monthly, quarterly and year-end financial close processes
  • Prepare financial statements including the consolidation of group financial statements
  • Serve as the primary liaison for certain external accounting requirements including the annual group audit in accordance with US GAAP and other statutory and regulatory filings

Technical Accounting

  • Conduct technical accounting research and apply findings by drafting memos, enacting financial accounting policies, or drafting journal entries and supporting documents
  • Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures

    • Management Reporting and FP&A

  • Deliver financial reports including variance analyses to support management decision-making
  • Partner with business units to meet requirements, provide financial insights and support planning

    • Compliance & Tax

  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Assist in preparing tax returns including corporate tax, transfer pricing, and VAT
  • Provide information as required by regulatory agencies and act as a liaison for statutory audits

    • Process & Systems Integration

  • Standardize and optimize accounting procedures and policies
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure accurate and timely flow of information
  • Leverage ERP and financial systems

    • Team Leadership

  • Manage team members to meet department goals and support business needs
  • Foster professional development aligned with business needs

    • Position Requirements :

  • Practical experience with the full accounting cycle
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP (familiarity with IFRS is a plus) and internal controls
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • 2+ years of tech, manufacturing or distribution industry experience
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • ERP system experience (SAP preferred)
  • Background in public accounting is preferred
  • Experience in multinational environments is desirable

    • Education & Certification :

  • Degree in Accounting and or 7+ years of relevant work experience
  • CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred
