Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a PCU (IMCU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a top Healthcare client.
This progressive care role coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care, specializing in pre-operative and post-operative nursing for patients requiring intermediate monitoring. The RN performs frequent assessments and autonomously manages treatments in collaboration with medical providers, serving as a dedicated patient advocate to support an unparalleled care experience in a high-acuity environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Assess the patient's condition during admission and throughout each shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures and other monitoring functions as ordered by the medical provider, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of all administered care.
- Administer prescribed medications safely and accurately, closely monitoring the patient for therapeutic response and managing any unintended effects.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment specifically utilized in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
- Serve as an advocate for patients and families, supporting the organization's commitment to an unparalleled patient experience.
- Collaborate effectively with medical providers and the care team to ensure coordinated and efficient delivery of pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
Requirements
Education
Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree is required.Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required (implied by diploma / degree).Experience
All experience must be recent (within the last one year) to qualify.Required : Minimum of one (1) year of recent acute care PCU experience.Alternative Consideration : Candidates with recent acute care ER RN experience or three (3) years of recent acute Med-Surg experience may be considered.Certifications / Licenses
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license is required (implied by the job title).Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) license is acceptable.Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.Skills
