Travel Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Location : Cumming, GA

Start Date : 11 / 24 / 2025

Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift Type : Nights

Schedule : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM, Monday–Sunday (36 hours / week)

Shift Length : 12 hours

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours / week

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend as scheduled

On-Call : None

Holidays : Required

Unit Overview

Specialty : Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Provides care for patients requiring intermediate care between ICU and Med / Surg

Manages higher acuity patients with complex needs, including telemetry, post-op care, and multi-system monitoring

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to PCU patients

Monitor patient status, interpret telemetry, and manage complex clinical situations

Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed

Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for patient care planning

Accurately document patient care and outcomes in EMR

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety, and infection control standards

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of current PCU experience – REQUIRED

BLS (AHA) – REQUIRED

ACLS – REQUIRED

NIH Stroke Certification – REQUIRED

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-acuity setting

Previous travel nursing experience preferred
