RN (Registered Nurse) - Peds (Pediatrics) - Travel

Shifts : 12-hour (7pm-7 : 30am); weekend every 3rd minimum; holidays as needed; floating to Mother-Baby unit possible

Facility : Camden Clark Medical Center - Medical Solutions

Location : Parkersburg, WV

Beds : 12 (4 semi-private)

Patients : Mostly pediatric (BILI babies, respiratory issues, RSV, cellulitis, IV antibiotics); occasional adults / post-op

Ratios : Usually 1 : 4 pediatric; adults / post-op 1 : 6 (1 RN & 1 PCT)

Required Certs : BLS, PALS preferred, NRP

Drips : RNs rarely titrate; common drips IV fluids, possible insulin

Support : Charge nurse (L&D), house supervisor, RT manages vents, no telemetry or monitor techs; pediatrician hospitalist on call, 1 in-house overnight

Additional : May assist ED with IVs, outpatient labs, straight caths on unit
