Chief Financial Officer & VP Business & Finance

At the University of San Francisco (USF) we invite accomplished financial leaders to consider serving as its next Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The CFO is a strategic partner and trusted advisor, guiding USF’s financial strategy to ensure institutional stability, innovation, and mission alignment. THE OPPORTUNITY

The CFO oversees all aspects of USF’s financial management, including :

  • Strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Endowment and investment management
  • Capital planning, real estate, and facilities oversight
  • Treasury and debt portfolio management
  • Financial reporting, compliance, and risk management

The ideal candidate will bring a proven record of executive financial leadership in a complex organization – preferably in higher education, mission-driven nonprofits, or similarly regulated sectors. They combine technical financial acumen with exceptional communication, collaboration, and ethical stewardship.

    • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Senior financial leadership experience in higher education, large nonprofit, or corporate environments.
  • Expertise in strategic planning, investment management, and capital budgeting.
  • Strong communication and collaborative leadership skills.
  • Commitment to ethical stewardship and Jesuit mission values.

    • COMPENSATION

    $350,000–$400,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
