We are looking for an Accountant to join our team in Tallassee, Alabama. This is a Contract-to-hire opportunity within the manufacturing industry, offering growth potential and the chance to contribute to financial operations. The role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual to handle a variety of accounting tasks while identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage accounts receivable processes and perform journal entries.
  • Reconcile accounts and bank statements to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Oversee month-end close activities, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Assist in financial planning and analysis (FP& A) by preparing reports and supporting business partners.
  • Analyze and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Utilize Excel for tasks involving pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Up to 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the manufacturing industry, but not required
  • Proficiency in general ledger management, accounts receivable, and journal entries.
  • Strong skills in account reconciliations and month-end close processes.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Excel
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
