This role is part of the Actuarial Tools and Modeling team in the enterprise product area. The team is responsible for developing advanced pricing platforms, methodologies, and processes to support the Auto, Property, and Commercial pricing teams. As a team member, you will design and develop new processes and tools requiring technical skills in Python and SQL, along with database management. You will maintain and update the pricing platform used by actuaries for rate revisions across the United States. Additionally, you will collaborate with other teams to create new actuarial tools and processes using modern technologies. Position Compensation Range : $97,000.00 - $164,000.00 Pay Rate Type : Salary Compensation may vary based on job level and geographic location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates. Primary Accountabilities Create, maintain, and improve data parsing scripts. Complete and enhance data validation processes for pricing datasets. Lead data efforts including dataset development and consultation on data and analytical development. Contribute to recommendations and revisions of ratemaking methodologies. Explore new actuarial concepts, statistical models, and data sources for innovative solutions. Assist in developing pricing and rating structures for new products. Support the development of classification ratemaking methodologies and models. Qualifications Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, VBA, or related languages. ACAS / FCAS designation is highly qualified. Strong knowledge of property and casualty products, pricing, rates, and industry trends. Understanding of underwriting guidelines and concepts. Experience in statistical / actuarial analysis, data forecasting, and modeling techniques. This is a flexible office / home role requiring a minimum of 10 days per month at one of the following locations : Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110.
