Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of a construction company in Rogers, Minnesota. This pivotal role involves overseeing accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, budgeting, and risk management strategies. The ideal candidate will collaborate with operational teams to ensure accurate job costing, compliance with industry-specific requirements, and effective financial controls.
Responsibilities :
- Supervise the accounting team, including Accounts Payable and Payroll specialists, to ensure seamless financial operations.
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with organizational goals and support long-term growth.
- Monitor and manage compliance with construction-specific financial requirements, including work-in-progress reporting, bonding, and retention protocols.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Partner with operational teams to improve job costing accuracy and streamline financial processes.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial health and organizational success.
- Manage multi-state prequalification processes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Lead audits and ensure the accuracy of financial records, including bank reconciliations.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to support organizational decision-making and growth initiatives.
- Facilitate the implementation of new project accounting systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or relatedExtensive experience in financial leadership within the construction industry.Strong knowledge of Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOP) and their financial implications.Proven expertise in work-in-progress (WIP) reporting and multi-state compliance.Advanced skills in financial reporting, including KPI tracking and analysis.Solid understanding of job costing methodologies and their application in construction projects.Ability to manage complex financial systems and implement new accounting tools.Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
