Baptist Health is looking for an energetic & qualified candidate to join our family as a Staff RN in our LaGrange Emergency Department.

Job Summary :

A registered nurse implements the nursing process for each patient / resident (infancy to geriatrics depending on scope of care in the nursing department in which he / she works) assigned to his / her care.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

The following is a summary of the major functions of this individual's job. He / she may perform other duties, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below, and specific functions may change from time to time.

1. Assesses patient / resident clinical status

2. Develops a plan of care

3. Implements / oversees the implementation of the nursing care plan

4. Evaluates effectiveness of care plan

5. Communicates & validates patient care information

Minimum Education, Training, and Experience

• Active Kentucky RN License required
• BCLS required
• NIHSS Required
• BSN Required except as noted :
• Individuals hired as a Staff RN prior to October 1, 2013 are grandfathered and exempt.
• Individuals actively employed by the system prior to October 1, 2013 are eligible for hire as a new graduate nurse without a BSN provided they enroll within one (1) year of transfer and complete their BSN within five (5) years of hire.
• Experienced RNs hired after October 1, 2013, who do not hold a BSN may only be hired with the approval of the CNO and / or applicable Vice President provided the RN enrolls in a BSN program within one (1) year of hire and completes their BSN within five (5) years of hire.
• ACLS & PALS required

BLS required

NIHSS required
