About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Nurse Practitioner for a 14-day locum tenens assignment at a Hospital in Oklahoma. The assignment covers two separate weeks : June 30-July 6 and / or July 21-27, 2025, with 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. The position focuses on providing critical care services in the ICU, working alongside a Critical Care physician. Responsibilities include performing ICU-specific procedures such as central and arterial line insertions. This opportunity requires expertise in critical care medicine and may extend beyond the initial assignment period.

Responsibilities and Duties :

Provide comprehensive critical care services in the ICU

Perform ICU-specific procedures, including central and arterial line insertions

Collaborate with Critical Care physicians and other healthcare professionals

Assess, diagnose, and treat critically ill patients

Monitor and manage patient care plans

Utilize Epic electronic health record system

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations

Deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ICU environment

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members

Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and care conferences

Additional Information :

Oklahoma state NP license required

Critical Care certification preferred

Experience in ICU settings and procedures essential

Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills

Ability to work night shifts and in high-stress situations

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Potential for assignment extension
