Staff Accountant

Creative Financial Staffing has teamed up with a leading investment firm in the Boston area to identify a Staff Accountant.

About the Company Seeking a Staff Accountant :

This opportunity is with a firm focused on advisory services, and portfolio growth and management

Founded over 20 years ago, the firm grew from a department of an established company at the time, breaking out to their own business

The Staff Accountant will work with a close knit group and provide substantial value to the team

This person will be the right hand to the CFO, and work on analysis projects as well as the day to day accounting functions of a small team

Responsibilities of Staff Accountant :

Full-cycle Accounts Payable processes including :

Entering invoices into Great Plains

Journal entries

Weekly check runs

Reconciliations

Assisting with record-keeping

Preparing documentation for audit season

Vendor management including updating contracts and helping with 1099 filing

Other ad hoc projects will be expected of the Staff Accountant to support quarter-end and year-end

Desired Skills of the Staff Accountant :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or experience equivalent (+4 years)

3+ years of Staff Accountant experience, including full-cycle accounts payable and preparing journal entries

Experience working with a small team

Microsoft Dynamics experience is a major plus
