Seasonal - Ice Technician; Oklahoma City

The Ice Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining the Zamboni to ensure smooth, safe ice while monitoring conditions, performing routine maintenance, and addressing mechanical issues. Collaborating with the team, following safety procedures, and supporting a welcoming guest experience by keeping the ice in top condition and maintaining professional standards.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipate in on-the-job training and operate the Zamboni to maintain smooth, safe ice while checking for leaks and patching as needed.Perform routine Zamboni maintenance, address mechanical issues promptly, monitor ice conditions, and resurface ice before and after operating hours.Ensure the ice is in top condition to enhance the guest experience and support a magical atmosphere.Coordinate with the Skate Shop team and other staff to schedule ice resurfacing and address operational needs.Follow all safety procedures when operating the Zamboni and maintain a safe environment around the ice.Attend pre-shift meetings to stay informed about special events and daily operational requirements.Communicate clearly with team members using radios and report any issues to the Manager on Duty.Complete nightly reports for Production and Event Managers.Maintain a professional appearance by keeping your uniform and credentials in order.Support a welcoming and festive environment by keeping the ice in excellent condition.QualificationsProven experience operating a Zamboni or similar large equipment.Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.Strong commitment to safety and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Focused on enhancing the guest experience by maintaining high-quality ice conditions.Capable of working long hours, standing for extended periods, and performing physical tasks.Effective communicator who collaborates well with team members to achieve shared goals.Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays.References are required for this position.Previous ice floor maintenance or commercial HVAC experience is a plus; all experience levels are encouraged to apply.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Our venues span over 100,000 square feet.Must be able to frequently walk and stand for long durations.Must be able to lift 50lbs.
