• The Weekend Option Program is designed to support teamwork and provide the option for a Weekend RN position. Those working full-time will work one shift during the week and two shifts on the weekend; those working part-time will work two shifts on the weekend. Weekend Option incentive pay will be given per program guidelines. Eligible candidates typically have a minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience.

About the Unit :

The Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU) at Mount Carmel St. Ann's has 30 beds, with space to accommodate between 6-9 progressive care patients. The Registered Nurse could expect to see patients related to NSTEMI and post STEMI / cardiac arrest, post-cardiac cath and acute coronary syndrome, AAA repair, atrial fibrillation, amputations, and femoral-popliteal bypass. The RN will also care for patients in diabetic ketoacidosis and acute respiratory failure on Bipap or AirVo. This unit offers a strong, welcoming teamwork environment. An RN would have many amazing opportunities to learn and grow their nursing knowledge with both intermediate and progressive care patient populations. The Registered Nurse (RN), within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, will provide care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person's physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. The Staff RN is accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of Mount Carmel Health System.
