We are seeking a General Accounting Manager to oversee our financial operations and drive accuracy and efficiency across our accounting functions.
Role Overview
The General Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, supervising bookkeeping staff, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. This role will handle financial reporting, fixed asset management, general ledger reconciliations, and key administrative functions, including payroll, insurance, sales entry, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze financial statements to support business decisions.
Manage fixed assets , journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations.
Supervise bookkeeping staff and oversee administrative office functions.
Ensure accurate recording of sales transactions, inventory adjustments, and payroll processing .
Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
Collaborate with senior leadership to provide financial insights and reporting .
Optimize accounting processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance , or a related field.
Experience in finance and accounting , preferably within retail or a related industry.
Strong knowledge of GAAP , journal entries, and financial reporting .
Proficiency in accounting software and inventory management systems .
Exceptional attention to detail , organizational , and analytical skills.
Proven track record in staff supervision and process improvement .
