Accounts Payable Accountant - New York City

This is a permanent, direct hire opportunity with a Forvis Mazars client; this is not an internal position with Forvis Mazars.

Responsibilities

• Review invoices for approval, enter into ERP system, accurately code to the correct G / L account and maintain digital filing system
• Manage vendor data, contracts and ensure timely and accurate payment that meet terms, updating the vendor list regularly (banking information, legal entity data, etc.)
• Prepare 3-way matching report and a weekly payment list and A / P aging report
• Reconcile, code, enter and process credit card expenses, ensuring compliance with corporate travel and expense policies
• Maintain reports of expected upcoming cash outflow and major expenses
• Analyze third party service contracts and monthly charges, resolve any issues and prepare schedules and reports of recurring and ad hoc expenses
• Support month-end close process, help with quarterly cost accounting reconciliations and provide information and reports to external CPAs to process tax filings
• Assist with ad hoc and analytical projects as needed
