Job description

Equipment Tech

Job Summary

  • Responsible for the maintenance of the hemodialysis machines and water systems.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for cleaning and maintenance of Bicarb delivery system, R / O water system, and hemodialysis machine.
  • Assists with receiving, storage and rotation of Dialysis supply inventory.
  • Maintains essential records for QC Monitoring.
  • Responsible for monitoring eye wash and refrigerator monitoring logs.
  • Assists with break down of Dialysis machines as needed.
  • Assists with patient transfers and weighing as needed.
  • Adheres to Infection Control practices in the Dialysis unit.
  • Adheres to patient confidentiality.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned.

    • Qualifications / Requirements

    EXPERIENCE

  • Prefer 1 yr hospital experience and / or 1 yr hemodialysis experience

    • EDUCATION

  • Minimum – High School diploma; preferred – 2 yr. College degree

    • LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS

  • BLS Certification
