Job description

Overview

Job Description Shape the night shift that shapes healthcare

At Avalign in Greenwood, IN, every product that rolls off our line helps clinicians deliver better outcomes. On our 3rd shift, you'll be the hands that bring precision medical devices to life — assembling, checking, and preparing them for delivery to customers who rely on our quality.

What you'll do

You clock in, review the day's build specs and blueprints, and get to work on a custom run. You'll set up and operate equipment such as drill presses, hand drills, clicker presses, rivet machines, and — once certified — a forklift. Along the way, you'll fasten parts with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, and other hardware, then perform spot checks to confirm everything meets our standards. If a part misses the mark, you'll rework, disassemble, or salvage as needed, removing small amounts of metal for a smooth finish and watching for issues like missing or damaged brackets, incorrect artwork, or improper screw gauges.

Qualifications

  • Self-starter mindset; thrives in a fast-paced, team-first environment
  • Reliability and strong communication (written and verbal)
  • Comfort reading and interpreting blueprints and operation sheets to determine setup and process steps
  • Ability to follow written, oral, and diagrammed instructions
  • Math fluency with units of measure, fractions, decimals, and whole numbers
  • Capability to set up / operate a Rivet Machine and enter / maintain data in the Traverse Manufacturing System
  • High School diploma or equivalent; 1–3 months related experience / training
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Proficiency with Manufacturing Instructions (MI) and mechanical assembly skills

Why you'll like it here

  • Growth without feeling stuck — we promote from within and invest in your development
  • Variety — custom products keep the work interesting
  • Belonging — a close-knit team that has your back
  • Competitive pay and benefits
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Paid vacation plus 10 paid holidays yearly
  • Employer-funded Basic Life and AD&D, STD, and LTD
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Tuition reimbursement and generous referral bonuses
  • Temperature-controlled facility
  • Community involvement and volunteer opportunities
  • Extra resources such as travel assistance and EAP
