Nuclear Pharmacy is responsible for providing radiopharmaceuticals and other drugs to medical care providers under highly regulated State and Federal guidelines may also consult with or advise physicians and nuclear medicine technologists on the safe and efficacious use of radioactive drugs for diagnosis and therapy
Schedule
- Full-time 40 hours per week. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday from 6 : 00a to 2 : 00p. On call Monday through Friday some weeks rotating with 7 other drivers / techs. Candidate must be flexible to work different days, hours and schedules based on business need.
Pay Rate : $20.50 per hour (non-certified technicians) $21.50 per hour (nationally certified technicians through an approved BOP program)

if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible.Under the immediate direction of a qualified licensed Staff Pharmacist, you will be trained to draw, dispense, and package radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with the regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy. Many of your duties will include :
Assists pharmacist and other pharmacy staff in preparing facility for daily operations through order fulfillment (dispensing), cleaning, equipment and quality control testing.Follows standard operating procedures to facilitate ongoing pharmacy operations.Processes customer orders to ensure efficient communication and timely delivery of medications to patients.Performs administrative pharmacy tasks, answers questions, and assists customers to facilitate pharmacy operations and customer satisfaction.Maintains pharmacy safety through following and recording completion of daily infection control procedures.Takes direction from other pharmacy techs to develop skills and knowledge of pharmacy operations.High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferredState Pharmacy Technician license or national pharmacy technician registration / license requiredPrevious experience working as a Pharmacy Technician is highly preferred.Past IV experience is a plusValid driver's license and good driving record required.Minimum of 18 years of age due to driving of company owned vehicleAbility to lift up to 75 lbs requiredStrong verbal and written communication skills requiredStrong customer service skills requiredFlexibility to work various shifts is preferredComfortable performing repetitive motions / tasks is requiredComfortable working in a nuclear environment is requiredAbility to work weekends or be in a weekend rotation required.Ability to work holidays or be in a holiday rotation requiredAbility to work on call or be in an on call rotation requiredAbility to work overtime with little or no advance notice requiredDemonstrated ability to use technology such as computers, smart phones and tabletsApplies basic skills and techniques to complete routine tasks within assigned areaMaintains appropriate licenses, training and certificationsWorks on basic and routine assignmentsWorks within clearly defined Standard Operating Procedures and / or scientific methodsAdheres to all quality guidelinesWorks under close supervision.
