Work Schedule : Monday - Friday, 3 : 30 pm - 11 : 30 pm 2nd shift, 8-hour days. Overtime opportunity on weekends. Location : In-person in Newington, CT. Local route, home every night.

Summary : Transport materials and mail between Data-Mail Facilities and designated vendors.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Drive Class A and B vehicles, Company Vans and pick ups, Standard and Automated Transmission, operating up to & including 53' dry vans
• Load and unload materials / mail using fork truck and electric ride on hand trucks.
• Keep accurate driving log records : manually and electronic logs
• Maintain effective communication with Supervisors regarding loads at both facilities.
• Serve as yard jockey in multiple Newington and Windsor Plants
• Processing, scanning and securing materials for each load in safe and efficient manner. Ability to process materials for inventory use and locate materials in rack warehouse system, using barcode functionality.
• Keep work areas neat and clean, including all company vehicles.
• Comply with company rules and regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data.
• Implement a commitment to quality philosophy and recommend methods and procedures to reduce cost and / or improve operating efficiency of the department.
• Keep manager / supervisor informed of situations that will affect the achievement of corporate or department goals and objectives.
• Flexibility to perform various warehouse related duties, as required, to achieve the goals and objectives of the department and company.

Education / Experience : High school diploma or GED plus 1-2 years' experience in operating multiple style forklift. CDL Class A license is required w / at least 1 year on the job experience. Operation of both Standard and Automatic transmissions a must. Knowledge of State Of Ct DOT Regulations.

Competencies : Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Computer Experience w / barcoding. Good / clean driving record.
