Education : Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program certified by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).Experience :Completion of a fellowship or residency in Orthopedic Medicine, OR
Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience within the last 3 years as an Orthopedic PA.Certification :Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Basic Life Support (BLS) required.Licensure : Hold a current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a PA in any U.S. state or territory (including D.C., Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands).Immunization Requirements (Must be current or able to obtain) :

As a Physician Assistant in the Orthopedic Department, your role includes but is not limited to :
Provide comprehensive musculoskeletal care , including :Evaluation and treatment of sprains, strains, contusions, back / neck pain, sports injuries, rheumatic diseases, and chronic pain.
Management of neuromuscular and peripheral nervous system disorders.Injury rehabilitation and functional capacity assessments.Assist in pre -, intra- , and post-operative orthopedic procedures , such as :Physical assessments, surgical prep, instrumentation setup, first / sec
ond assist during procedures.
Wound care, dressing changes, splint / cast changes, and suture removal.Perform patient evaluations :Participate in daily rounds, review diagnostic results, write progress notes, and prepare discharge summaries.Admit, transfer, and discharge patients (orders to be reviewed by a supervising physician).Respond to pages / calls from the ER, clinics, and fleet regarding musculoskeletal issues.Review and respond to consults via the computerized referral system.About Us :
