At SSM Health Medical Group, we are committed to providing exceptional care and support to our patients. We are currently seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Specialist to join our team at the SSM Health St. Anthony Medical Group - Shawnee Kethley, located at 3315 Shawnee.

Position Details :

  • Type : Full Time
  • Schedule : Day Shift, Monday - Friday
  • Hourly Rate : Speak with a Recruiter for details
  • Sign-On Bonus : $15,000.00 (discussion with Recruiter required)

Job Summary :

The Physical Therapy Specialist plays a crucial role in evaluating and implementing therapy programs to alleviate movement dysfunction and pain stemming from various health-related conditions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' conditions during initial and ongoing evaluations.
  • Develop, adjust, and assess personalized care plans that engage patients and their families.
  • Administer therapy interventions using established physical therapy techniques suited to patient needs.
  • Educate patients, families, and staff based on identified educational needs.
  • Coordinate discharge planning and ensure continuity of care by providing comprehensive instructions and follow-up recommendations.
  • Supervise the work of physical therapy assistants, students, and support staff.
  • Maintain accurate documentation that reflects patient progress and the necessity for skilled therapy interventions.
  • Uphold safety and alertness in all activities.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

    • Qualifications : Education :

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy or a related field, meeting state licensure requirements.

    • Experience :

  • No prior experience required.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Constant standing and frequent physical activity in carrying, lifting, and moving patients.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to perform various physical tasks, including bending, twisting, and frequent movement.

    • Licensure and Certification :

    Must obtain the following certifications and licensure within specified timeframes after employment :

  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP)
  • State-specific Physical Therapist license
