About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience :

Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical and Oncology experience is required.

Hematology-Oncology experience is strongly preferred.

License :

Must have a valid nursing license.

Certifications :

Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certifications are preferred.

Must-Have :

Experience in telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias.

Skills in managing central lines and caring for patients receiving blood products.

Description :

The unit specializes in Medical Surgical Oncology patients of mixed acuity.

The patient population includes individuals with various types of leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma.

Procedures performed in this unit include autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic stem cell transplants.

Heavy emphasis is placed on infection prevention protocols and fall prevention.

Interdisciplinary support is available, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.

Nurses are expected to recognize and communicate abnormal lab values promptly.

Staffing includes telemetry monitoring and management of patient care devices.

All candidates must complete required credentialing processes without delay.

Professional references are required, including one from a supervisory role.

Education must be from an accredited nursing program.
