Position : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Location : North Alabama Medical Center, Florence, AL Shift : 6 : 30 AM – 3 : 00 PM Assignment Type : Travel

Overview

North Alabama Medical Center is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse to join the Cardiovascular Operating Room team. This role is designed for nurses with specialized CVOR expertise who are committed to delivering exceptional perioperative care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care before, during, and after cardiovascular surgical procedures.

Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers in the operating room, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety.

Monitor patient status and respond to intraoperative changes with sound clinical judgment.

Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.

Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records.

Collaborate with physicians, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Must-Have Skills / Experience

Minimum of 1+ year CVOR experience (Cardiac and Vascular)

Preferred Skillset / Experience

Multi-year vascular and CVOR experience

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or compact state eligibility.

Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and operating room protocols.

Required certifications : BLS and ACLS.

Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
