About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Gifted and Talented Education program. The successful candidate will serve as the chief executive officer, with a primary focus on faculty and staff development, student experience, fiscal and administrative management, strategic planning, innovation, resource development, external relations, and community engagement. This role is pivotal in inspiring excellence in teaching, learning, and research, and in fostering a supportive residential environment that nurtures the intellectual and personal growth of academically and artistically gifted students. The Executive Director will also be responsible for leading long-range planning, program development, and initiatives that align with the future of gifted education, as well as for building and stewarding relationships with alumni, donors, and other stakeholders.
Applicants must have a proven track record of leadership in complex organizations, strong institutional administration skills, and exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities. A Master's degree is required, with a preference for candidates who have administrative leadership experience in a secondary school or higher education setting, particularly with a focus on gifted and talented programming. Teaching experience, a terminal degree, and a background in fundraising, donor relations, or community engagement are also desirable. The role demands a leader who can engage with diverse constituencies, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors, and governmental bodies, and who is committed to the mission of the program in advanced education, workforce development, and innovation.
