Role Overview
As a school-based Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting high-quality therapy services within the school environment. You will assist children across grade levels, plan and implement interventions, and help develop instructional strategies tailored to their functional and educational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing therapy to an assigned caseload of students
- Conduct assessments alongside the supervising OT to guide goal setting and intervention planning
- Support the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver dynamic interventions to help children develop essential life skills and succeed in school
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy into daily routines
- Maintain accurate documentation and data collection
Qualifications
Current OTA licensure in the State of OhioOhio Department of Education Certification (can be completed upon hire)Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferredStrong assessment, intervention planning, and communication skillsAbility to work effectively within a multidisciplinary teamPassion for helping children overcome developmental, educational, and motor challenge sBenefits
