Job descriptionPrior experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment (mills, lathes, or both). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T symbols. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Set up and operate CNC machines (mills or lathes) to produce precision parts according to work orders and engineering specifications. Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements to understand critical dimensions and tolerances. Install tools, set work offsets, and verify setup prior to running production jobs. Monitor machine operation and inspect parts using precision measuring instruments. Adjust feeds, speeds, and tool offsets as needed to maintain quality and efficiency. Maintain accurate records of production and inspection results and perform routine preventative maintenance on machines.
