Phlebotomist

Job Description

Join a patient-centered clinical team collecting and processing blood specimens in a high-volume, regulated environment. You'll deliver excellent donor / patient care, ensure specimen quality, and follow HIPAA / PHI standards at all times.

What you'll do

• Greet, screen, and prepare donors / patients; verify ID and consent; ensure confidentiality.
• Perform venipuncture and capillary collections; monitor donors / patients and respond to adverse reactions.
• Set up, operate, and disconnect collection equipment; dispose of biohazard materials per protocol.
• Label, process, and document specimens accurately (EMR / LIS); maintain chain of custody.
• Inspect and maintain phlebotomy stations, supplies, and PPE; escalate equipment issues.
• Uphold infection control, safety, and quality standards; complete required logs and audits.
• Provide compassionate, professional service; build rapport to support comfort and retention.
