Job Description : GENERAL OVERVIEW :

Assists and supports the nurses and physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :

Assists with electrophysiology procedures. Operates laboratory and imaging equipment used in the performance of electrophysiology studies. Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and contacts proper support personnel. (60%)

Performs sheath removal. (15%)

May maintain the inventory and station management system for supplies. (10%)

Performs technical interrogation of implanted devices (15%)

Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS : Minimum

Associates degree or equivalent experience

BLS certification

ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire

1 year experience in general Radiology

Preferred

One year experience in Electrophysiology or Cath Lab

Radiography Certification and Registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
