Your Impact :

As a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped, you will :

• Assess and understand each student's needs to maximize their speech-language proficiency and communication effectiveness.
• Conduct individual and group sessions, support with push-in services as appropriate, and collaborate regularly with classroom teachers.
• Develop and implement instructional strategies, materials, and environments that enhance students' speech and language functioning.
• Regularly evaluate short-term objectives to track progress.
• Share your expertise by training special education personnel and parents in augmentative and alternative communication systems.
