Key Responsibilities :

Evaluate patients within 24 hours of physician referral and document any delays.

Develop personalized treatment plans and obtain physician approval.

Provide direct patient care following physician treatment plans.

Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), aides, and students in patient-related activities.

Train nursing staff and Restorative Aides to ensure high-quality care.

Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation discussions .

Document evaluations, treatment progress, and weekly reports per state requirements.

Recommend and facilitate the ordering of necessary durable medical equipment for patient mobility (braces, walkers, canes, grab bars).

Ensure therapy equipment is properly maintained and report any maintenance needs.

Who We’re Looking For :

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy required (Master’s or Doctorate preferred).

Licensure : Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapist in California , meeting continuing education requirements .

Tech-Savvy : Familiarity with Casamba, Point Click Care, and electronic documentation systems .

Strong Communicator : Ability to effectively explain therapy plans to patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Problem Solver & Leader : Capable of analyzing patient needs, adjusting treatment strategies, and overseeing therapy staff .
