Job descriptionActs as an ambassador for the MRI department. Puts the needs of the patient and customer at the forefront. Is results driven and must be a team player. Works in a fast paced environment with the need to multi-task. Coordinates inpatient / outpatient scheduling of MRIs, MRAs, lab work and other procedures when applicable. Obtains pre-admission information according to established policies and procedures. Determines need for pre-certification and medical necessity when appropriate. High School diploma or equivalent required. Candidate must be able to type 40 wpm. Minimum one year medical office experience; general knowledge of office equipment and Microsoft programs; medical terminology and insurance knowledge strongly encouraged. Strong communication and multi-tasking skills a must.
