Cardiac Cath Tech

Position Summary

The Cardiac Cath Tech performs angiography, special procedures, and cardiac catheterization at a technical level that will require independent judgment. The Cardiac Cath Tech will assist the physicians in all aspects of invasive cardiology and radiology including scrubbing, circulating, monitoring, and recording hemodynamic parameters following policy and procedure.

The Cardiac Cath Tech's decisions and actions with patients and families are determined in an ethical manner practicing compassion and respect for the inherent dignity, worth and unique attributes of each person. Effectively communicates with patients / families, visitors, colleagues, physicians, leadership, and volunteers. All areas of practice and delivery are provided to achieve and maintain top decile results and outcomes for patient experience, quality, and patient safety. The Cardiac Cath Tech follows and adheres to UNCH-A policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and standards of behavior.

Compensation for this position is based on experience and qualifications, starting at $33.44 per hour .

Position Qualifications

Minimum Education

• Graduate of AMA accredited school of Radiologic Technology or RCIS program.
• Completion of an approved CVT program or equivalent on the job training is acceptable
