The position is for a Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician in California, operating in a locum tenens capacity. The role involves working weekdays from 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm, managing a patient population primarily comprised of older adults with multiple comorbidities. Ideal candidates will have experience in Internal Medicine and Family Medicine, with support staff available in a clinic setting for effective patient care.

Start Date : ASAP

Length / Need : Ongoing

Schedule :

  • Weekdays : 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm, with a 1 hour lunch
  • Frequency : Monday Friday, every week- no call, would also consider someone who could do only a few days / week

Details :

  • EMR : Cerner
  • Setting : Internal Medicine- will consider a strong FP but that is not ideal
  • Support Staff : MA's, MOR's, APP (one in clinic) and RN assigned to clinic
  • Patients per Day : Other providers seeing 12-18 a day depending upon complexity (includes new patients)
  • Typical IM clinic population average age 70
  • About half male / female with multiple comorbidities, such as diabetes, arthritis, heart disease, chf, etc

    • Requirements :

  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine required
  • Geriatrics is a plus Site will consider candidate BC in Family Medicine if they have experience in IM & Family Medicine- Required
  • Active CA license - Required
