About the Company
A leading investment bank committed to excellence in financial services.
About the Role
As the Vice President - Model Risk Governance, you will take charge of our model risk management framework, ensuring robust governance and validation across a wide spectrum of financial and risk models, including life & annuity, investment strategies, hedging, ALM, derivatives, and structured assets. Your role will involve steering the Model Risk Management Committee, articulating aggregate model risks to senior leadership, critically assessing model methodologies, assumptions, and outputs, and aligning the model risk framework with the dynamic business landscape and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate closely with model developers, investment and actuarial teams, external validators, and various stakeholders to elevate model standards, mitigate model risk exposure, and mentor a growing team of professionals as our model risk capacity scales. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, financial engineering) and hold advanced credentials such as the FSA designation, along with additional qualifications like CFA, FRM, CAIA, or PRM. We seek individuals with over 12 years of experience in actuarial modeling, investment modeling, or model risk management within insurance, asset management, or financial services. Expertise in financial and risk models related to hedging, ALM, capital, derivatives, structured, and traditional assets is crucial. You should be proficient in influencing senior stakeholders and technical teams, as well as demonstrating strong leadership skills in model validation and governance in a regulated environment.
