This position involves floating to various units as needed, including overflow. 12-hour shifts from 07 : 00 to 19 : 30. Guaranteed hours are not specified. Must be able to work two out of four holidays. RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 days. Cannot request off entire week of Christmas or New Year's. No RTO is allowed in the first two weeks of the assignment. Candidates must be able to pass an EKG exam during orientation. Previous experience floating in high acuity units is preferred. Exposure to transplant populations is beneficial. Preferred certifications include CCRN. Preferred skills include Level I trauma and charge experience. Valid state license must be in hand at the time of application. Candidates may float within the hospital as needed. This position requires flexibility in assignments. Prior charge experience is preferred. The patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. The total bed capacity for the ICU is 24. Interdisciplinary support teams are available, including IV teams and respiratory services. Position also involves managing patients with various high acuity diagnoses. Special procedures and experience with specific equipment may be required. Trained personnel will assist with complex patient care procedures. Clinical skills relevant to critical care environments are essential. Emergency medication management and ventilator care are fundamental components of this role.
