Working independently and exercising good judgment and discretion the Creative Team Member of the Office of Spiritual Development will be responsible for assisting the Creative Director in whatever areas are deemed necessary. He / she will be responsible for assisting the Creative Director in creating essential media assets for the Office of Spiritual Development and the offices under its authority. These elements include but are not limited to photo and video assets, graphic assets, audio assets, print assets, and digital assets.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Creative Graphic Designer will serve the departments within the Office of Spiritual Development, including LU Stages, LU Shepherd, LU Serve, LU Send, and Liberty Worship Collective. They will be responsible for working closely with our OSD Creative Leadership and broader Creative team to develop print and digital design assets to be used in support of Convocation, Campus Community, social media channels, live musical performances, department events, and campus events.
Creative Execution
Design dynamic digital graphics for LED surfaces, stage visuals, and guest materials across Convocation, Campus Community, and Liberty Worship Collective.
Developing digital and print assets across a variety of events and services for LU Stages, LU Shepherd, LU Serve, LU Send, and Liberty Worship Collective
Supports OSD Creative Videographers, Motion Designers, Photographers, and Content Creators with digital graphic assets as needed.
Manages multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, ensuring alignment with design specifications, deadlines, and budget constraints.
Collaboration & Communication
Participates in team wide creative brainstorms and contributes to the ideation of campaigns, series, and social content.
Communicates clearly with OSD Creative leadership and teammates while adapting design work to feedback and evolving priorities.

Stays current with design and creative industry trends, especially those relevant our target audiences and church / ministry culture.
Stays current with industry-standard tools and embraces cutting-edge creative software and workflows, constantly exploring new ways to innovate and push design forward.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS Education and Experience
Four-year college degree, with a concentration in Graphic Design or similar preferred
Proficiency in creative programs such as but not limited to Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Midjourney Ai.
Strong understanding of design principles, typography, visual hierarchy, and composition for both print and digital media.
Communication and operational software and applications in use : Asana, Slack, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, iMessage, and Instagram.
Preferred Experience
2+ years in a professional Graphic Design or other creative position.

WORKING CONDITIONS Work Environment
The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled office setting. It is well lighted and the noise level is moderate.

Use of one's personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) is required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position. Proof of a valid Virginia driver's license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
