Responsible for assisting the machine operator when fabricating various types of products. Foster and promote continuous improvement and a positive work environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Listen to directions from supervisor or lead man, however, will work almost all the time without direct supervision
- Determine if all parts are present.
- Read and interpret blueprints and sketches.
- Read parts list.
- Interpret measurements.
- Verify specifications.
- 1st article inspection
- Ensure working environment is clean and safe.
- Report errors in product line.
- Prioritizing work based on production schedule
- Communicate effectively / appropriately with team members, leads and supervisors.
- Effectively and accurately use VMI, Kanban cards, material withdrawal forms, stock, fabricated, and special order parts so inventory counts are correct
- Maintain regular attendance to prevent missing customer deadlines
- Adhere to Marion Body Works Inc. Quality Policy
SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS :
Interpret MBW safety policies / practices to employees including ensuring safe work practices and company policies are followed.Utilize available data to continuously improve productivity, uptime and reliabilityInterface with customers, both internal and external.Complete Non-conformance using quality program for quality issues and deviations, and all purchasing, order processing, and engineering inaccuracies so corrective action can be takenMay be required to transfer to other work area to meet company needsCompliance with all environmental, OSHA and quality standardsOther tasks as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
Ability to efficiently function in fast-paced work environmentComputer skillsMust be able to interpret work orders, drawings, layouts, sketches, route sheets, and production scheduleProfessional oral and written communication skills.Follow written communications and verbal instructionsBasic knowledge in shop math, be able to convert decimals and fractions, measure and build to within military specifications, check work for dimensional accuracy and correct as neededProficient knowledge to use various power and machine tools. Must be able to use hand tools and measuring devices, as well as assembly fixtures to complete assembliesStrong organizational skills and attention to detail requiredPerform 6S checks in area and report items not completedWork independently without needing direct supervisionDemonstrate complete knowledge of mission, value, and ethics statement.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
Prefer High School Diploma or GED equivalentFork lift certifiedAbility to establish and maintain professional and courteous relationships with customers and co-workers.4th Shift : 5 : 30 AM - 5 : 30 PM

Work 36 hours, paid for 40 hours
