Job Summary : The Radiologic Technologist performs high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires strong technical skills, knowledge of radiographic protocols, and the ability to provide safe, patient-centered care. The technologist must work effectively within a team environment while ensuring accurate imaging, radiation safety, and proper equipment operation. This is a full-time, 40-hour / week role, scheduled Monday Friday, 9 : 30 AM 5 : 30 PM.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures using Carestream and Philips imaging equipment.
- Position patients accurately to obtain optimal imaging results while ensuring comfort and safety
- Operate Radiology equipment in compliance with state regulations and radiation safety guidelines.
- Review physician orders, verify patient identity, and obtain relevant medical history prior to exams.
- Ensure proper exposure techniques, shielding, and ALARA principles to minimize radiation dose.
- Maintain high-quality imaging standards and verify image accuracy before releasing to PACS.
- Communicate clearly with patients, explaining procedures and providing support throughout the exam.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare staff to support efficient departmental workflow.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report malfunctions promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and readiness of imaging rooms at all times.
- Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records in accordance with facility policies.
