Basic accounting knowledgeUnderstanding accounting best practicesNegotiation of Vendor ContractsKnowledge of IFRS, U.S GAAP, or another accounting frameworkData entry skillsHigh attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft ExcelProduce work with a high level of accuracyProfessionalism and organization skillsAssociates degree or at least one year of experienceKnowledge of XERO, Quickbooks, Zoho, Fresh Books, or other applicationsJob Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain an accurate record of financial transactionsUpdate and maintain the general ledgerReconciliation of entries into the accounting systemRecording of debits and creditsMaintain the trial balance, by a reconciliation of general ledgersAccount reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactionsUse knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirementsHelp to create company and department budgetsMonitor any variances from the projected budget
