We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst with a strong background in specialty insurance to drive the successful development and implementation of business systems. This role requires deep collaboration with product leaders, technical teams, and end-users to ensure that business needs are accurately captured, clearly documented, and effectively delivered.
The ideal candidate brings a combination of analytical expertise, insurance domain knowledge, Agile methodology experience, and hands-on involvement in QA testing.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business processes, requirements, and workflows specific to the specialty insurance sector.
- Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements , user stories, use cases, and process flows.
- Lead or participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups.
- Serve as the liaison between business users and development teams to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives.
- Support QA efforts , including the creation of test plans, execution of test cases, and defect tracking and resolution.
- Drive continuous improvement by monitoring industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes within the healthcare and specialty insurance space.
- Troubleshoot system and process issues, identifying root causes and proposing effective solutions.
- Manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems , or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on specialty insurance (policy and claims systems).Proven success in requirements elicitation and documentation within insurance operations.Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, sprint planning, demos).Solid experience in QA testing , including test case development, execution, and defect management.Proficient with tools such as JIRA, Visio, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite .Strong communication and facilitation skills across technical and non-technical teams.Analytical mindset with a proactive and inquisitive approach to solving problems.Highly organized, self-driven, and comfortable working under tight deadlines.Insurance operations background or familiarity with healthcare regulatory frameworks is a plus.Preferred Attributes :
