Key Responsibilities :
As a Respiratory Care Therapist, you will :
Evaluate, treat, and care for patients with various pulmonary disorders.Administer therapeutic and diagnostic modalities, including mechanical ventilation and aerosol therapy, ensuring adherence to treatment parameters.Provide emergency care like cardiopulmonary resuscitation and follow physician protocols for patient management.Monitor patient responses to therapy through assessments of vital signs and blood gas analyses, making timely adjustments to treatment plans.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care and outcomes.Qualifications :
Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 90 days of hire; Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days.Certification as a Respiratory Therapy Technician required.Current state certification as a Respiratory Therapy Technician.A degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program is necessary.At least one year of previous experience in Respiratory Therapy is preferred.Methodist Hospital Texsan offers a vibrant work atmosphere within a 120-bed acute care hospital recognized for excellence in cardiac and orthopedic services.
