Job descriptionPrior experience in tax preparation and / or accounting required. Knowledge of federal and state tax regulations. Proficiency with tax preparation software (e.g., Drake, ProSeries, TurboTax, etc.). Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. CPA, EA, or professional certification preferred but not required. Competitive pay based on experience. Flexible scheduling (especially during tax season). About the Role :
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Tax Preparer / Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing individual and business tax returns, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing professional accounting support to clients.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and file accurate federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Review financial records, income statements, and other documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Advise clients on tax planning strategies and potential deductions.
- Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and current tax laws.
- Assist with bookkeeping, payroll processing, and financial reporting as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and provide excellent customer service to clients.
- Stay updated on changes in tax codes and accounting practices.
