Work with us, not for us
We believe that people should find their work enjoyable (and) sustainable. Pay generous. The environment collaborative. Its people kind. Its leaders considerate.
Our Needs
We're opening up our 2 bay window tables after years of only seating the omakase counter. You'll also help the 2-3 chefs at the counter serve drinks.
The Job
Our Ideal
Our ideal hire is not necessarily an industry veteran (though that certainly helps). It's someone who is able to be precise, thoughtful, warm and gracious, and manages their time efficiently. So if you're a student who would like to moonlight on weekends until you graduate, that works too.
As much as we value flexibility, Fridays and Saturdays are required.
Low-Ego Philosophy
At this level it’s a small world, so we should all be interested in one another's long-term needs. Perhaps most importantly : this is a great place to work, but it’s not everyone’s last stop in life. We genuinely care about supporting those we work with, during and after our time together, which sometimes includes saying goodbye. With respect, grace, and a helping hand to get you your next dream job.
Reputation
For better or worse, reputation matters in the culinary world. We are Michelin recommended since we opened our doors. Our Google and Yelp ratings are 5 and 4.9, respectively.
Next Steps :
1. Please send your experience. Resumes are nice, but it need not be fancy. We care more about who you are and who you'd like to become.
2. Please tell us who you are, in your own words. Not just what you can do for us, but what we can also do for you (e.g. what your dream position / schedule / etc. looks like).
Of note, the position :
