American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Level I trauma and DaVinci Xi robotic proficiency for a busy hospital setting, requiring PA or compact RN licensure.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Hospital setting in a Level I Trauma Center Operating RoomDay shifts (4x10 hours), 7 : 00am – 5 : 30pm with weekend and holiday requirementsExpected to work at least one major holiday, no time off approved between Christmas and New Year'sScheduled 4-5 weekend shifts and 4-5 on-call shifts within a 6-week period; call response required within 30 minutesFloating as needed within assignmentCaseload includes general, GYN, thoracic, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, trauma (excluding cardiac / open heart) with strong robotic, orthopedic, and trauma casesUses DaVinci Xi and DV5 robots; proficiency requiredUses Epic EMR; prior Epic experience preferredMust be able to manage high-acuity trauma and a broad range of surgical specialties independentlySubject to clinical prescreen to determine fit and guidelines compliance prior to interviewCOVID patient care possible as neededExpected to complete 5-6 hours of onboarding modules before startHoliday needs may require day, evening, or night availabilityNo block scheduling available; schedule flexibility requiredMaximum 7 days of requested time off will be considered per contractPairs / traveling with another provider accepted but schedule match cannot be guaranteedScrub attire per department dress codeFacility is tobacco- and fragrance-free\n \n Requirements\n
Active PA or compact RN license required with no license hitsMinimum 3 years of Operating Room RN experienceExperience in a Level I or Level II trauma setting required, with at least 1 year at Level II or higherPrevious travel nurse experience requiredAbility to scrub and circulate in all mentioned OR specialtiesProficient in DaVinci Xi robotic procedures across multiple specialtiesBLS certification required (AHA or ARC only)Completion of required modules prior to startMust be able to function independently without refresher trainingMust reside at least 50 miles from facility to qualify for travel ratesTobacco and fragrance-free workplace policy in effect\n Benefits\n
