POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Executive Director, or assigned associate. The Fitness Director is responsible for the operation of the fitness floor, group exercise, and growth of personal training for multiple centers of the association. This will include direct leadership for fitness floor associates, group exercise instructors and personal trainers at multiple centers. Assist in development of programming that meets the needs of each unique community. Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a team that is focused on providing superior member experience at all times. Will be accountable for member engagement and retention initiatives relative to Group Exercise, Personal Training and related programming.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Oversight of all Fitness Operations, Group Exercise, Water Fitness and Personal Training
Oversight of all Scheduling
Personal Trainer, Group Exercise Instructor and Fitness Coach Compliance and Quality Control

PHYSICAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Possess sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions of position and to supervise program activities. Required to walk, stand, kneel, stoop, push and lift up to 50 pounds. Physically able to successfully complete required certifications. Occasionally required to work in the outside weather conditions and may be exposed to wet, cold and / or humid conditions. Exposed to and use of cleaning supplies. Continuous operations requiring attention to detail and multi-tasking. Must be able to perform the duties of those he / she supervises.

It emphasizes treating youth with respect and fairness, avoiding inappropriate physical or verbal interactions, and adhering to established standards of affection. The policy strictly prohibits any form of abuse, bullying, or harassment and mandates the reporting of suspected mistreatment. Additionally, associates and volunteers must complete training on child abuse prevention and comply with legal reporting requirements to safeguard youth.
