Responsibilities
Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
Collects all patient co- pays, insurance payments or any other payments due at point of service and ensure the payments are appropriately accounted for.
Maintains therapist schedule accordingly in WebPT.
Schedules progress evaluations as needed.
Maintains current patient prescriptions.
Ensures all Medicare Plans of Care are current and signed by the referring doctor.
Ensures all authorizations are current.
Scans all discharged cases into E-Clinical Works (E.C.W.)
Creates reports for Clinical Director to track unsigned notes, missing patients and any other metrics the Clinical Director requires to track departmental statistics.
Files all reports in a timely fashion.
Obtains all insurance verification.
Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Performs other duties as requested / directed.
Requirements
Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
Excellent phone skills
Should possess a minimum of 0 to 2 years as a medical receptionist or related field.
Minimum High School Degree or equivalent
